Hammarlund HQ-100 HF Receiver Working Condition

Description

This is a Hammarlund HQ-100 receiver.
Previously, I often listened to CW and SSB on medium wave, 80m, and 40m.
After that, I stored it in a closet for a long time.
It seems to be working fine. I was able to receive medium wave, 40m CW.
Q Multi is OK.
However, please understand that the reception performance is based on my impression and cannot be guaranteed, as it is an older model.
The frequency tuning might be slightly off, but it was fine for me (at least!).
The 10M-30M band seems to have a significant frequency drift, so please adjust it if this bothers you.
There are holes drilled in the back panel.
It hasn’t been used for a long time, so there’s a slight crackling sound in the switches and volume controls.
Also, please be aware that the power cable has become stiff.

I reattached the wire to the antenna and confirmed that it was working.
AM reception on medium wave is OK; I was able to receive Chinese broadcasts around 7MHz.
Not all bands have been checked.
There’s a contact issue with the band switch, and the sensitivity won’t increase unless you turn it several times with a rattling sound.
I think using a contact cleaner or similar product should improve the situation.
Since it’s an old machine, please have it repaired and adjusted.
I am currently working, but please understand the above points.
